My practice is based on the shaping, molding and manipulation of similar images to address the imprint, trace and disappearance. In search of a poetic balance born of the encounter between the subject treated and materiality, I give substance to the different formal manifestations of what has been and what remains. By favoring the work of ceramics, wax, textiles and analogs, I reconsider the technical know-how associated with the professions, giving a nostalgic atmosphere to my work. The use of these materials allows me to invest their potential and material constraints to evoke the fragility of life.
By approaching art as a space for contemplation, I approach creation in the manner of mourning, in a floating space, between reality and chimera. My proposals stripped of artifices manifest themselves in a sober and vaporous plastic language. I propose a meeting of image and object in an ethereal and delicate expression that is articulated in a quiet poetry of the artifact. Around the major themes of evanescence and corporality, sculpture and photography allow me to transcribe transient and mutable fragments of the scope of time on existence. The carnal, memory, the perceptible and the unintelligible intersect to give substance to the sensitive links that link form and matter. I explore the sensory potential that remains in the object and the image. At least, the emotional burden that I consent to them. |
