Kevin Millet
@kevinmillet

Kevin Millet is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist from France. His work is mainly composed of portraits, graphic creations, as well as travel photographs.

After graduating in advertising and graphic design from the Lafontaine school in Haute-Savoie, Kevin developed his work within the Deviance-production collective. From 2009 to 2012, he left France for a series of travels and photo essays, and finally settled in Montreal as a freelance photographer and director.

Picture
In 2017, he founded the Mkind studio in Montreal composed of image professionals. The team develops various creative projects combining celebrities and public figures. From the beginning, Kevin Millet creates long-lasting relationships with acting agencies, models, film productions, and internationally renowned labels. Now, this chameleon artist works and creates mainly in his own studio and carries out photographic projects around the world.
Artistic approach
Each project starts with a research, writing and elaboration work that takes the form of an inspiration board. Improvisation and intuition also play a major role in his creative process and are essential to its realization. Based on the principle that each person bears the imprint of his or her experience, he or she moves around his or her subject like a sculptor turning around his or her piece in order to immortalize its presence. As a result of meticulous work, each photograph is carefully retouched, prioritizing authenticity in aesthetics without distorting the subject. He creates elegant portraits, which enhance the individuals by making them timeless. Inspired by architecture, the artist often uses symmetry and perspective to stabilize his visuals.

Like a painter working with chiaroscuro, he dives into the darkness of being and explores its meanders.  The light immerses in order to elevate the spirit. The result is transcendent works of mystical atmosphere and pure emotions with meaning or for the senses.

In his raw and timeless aesthetic, Kevin Millet reveals the true nature of his models who confidently assert their place in this world. Each identity is revealed before the lens of this soul catcher.
